Box Score HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (Sept. 14, 2017) - Sophomore Samantha Bloecker (Oceanside, N.Y.) and senior Christie Catterson (Amityville, N.Y.) each picked up two victories in a 5-4 loss to Caldwell University for Molloy's women's tennis team. The team still looks for its first win of the season heading into their appearance at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Regional Tournament. 

In doubles play, the tandem of Bloecker and Catterson earned a an 8-1 victory over Claudia Romano and Amy Tang of the Cougars. In singles, Bloecker defeated Romano 6-1, 6-1 while Catterson retired Tang 6-4, 6-3. Sophomore Montaine Le Goupil-Maier (Oceanside, N.Y.) earned the third point for the Lions, earning a singles victory over Valeria Otarola in a pro set, 8-3. 

The team is set to appear in the ITA East Regional Tournament on Friday (Sept. 22) in Flushing, N.Y.
