#2 Molloy College will take on #1 Saint Thomas Aquinas College in the East Coast Conference Championship at 2:30 this afternoon in Bridgeport, Conn. The Lions earned an 89-82 victory over #3 University of Bridgeport while the Spartans defeated #5 Daemen College to advance to the Finals.

In Molloy's contest, the Lions received double-digit performances from Charlie Marquardt (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.), Curtis Jenkins (Farmingdale, N.Y.), Jaylen Morris (Amherst, N.Y.) and Mike Guzzardi (Mount Sinai, N.Y.). The maroon and white went 22-of-25 (88 percent) from the foul line and 31-of-61 (50.8 percent) from the field, scoring 23 points off turnovers against the Purple Knights
.
The Spartans were led by 18 points from Chaz Watler (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and 14 from both James Mitchell (Washington, D.C.) and Justin Reyes (Haverhill, Mass.). STAC shot 61.7 percent from the field, scoring 34 points in the paint and 13 on the break. Reyes pulled down eight of the team's 26 rebounds.

The Lions fell to the Spartans in both contests this season, falling in a close 72-70 contest on Dec. 3 before being bested 103-89 on Jan. 21. Marquardt and Morris combined for 76 of the team's 159 points in the contests.

Molloy will look to upset the reigning-ECC Champions in this year's finals. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m.
