Molloy:
  • Molloy went an even 2-2 on the team's trip to the Lynn Invitational this past weekend. The Lions' offense dominated against both Post (11-1) and Lynn (7-3) before slipping to Bentley in the final two games of the trip, 6-1 and 12-4. 
  • Senior Sean Welsh has been off to a blistering start, driving in 13 runs on 16 hits including three doubles and three home runs, averaging .444 at the plate. 
  • Sophomore Steve Mulqueen has also sent three balls over the fence, including homering in both wins this past week for the Lions. 
  • Senior Sean Serrano has successfully swiped all nine bases he's attempted and is tied for the team lead in walks (8) with junior Jack Vallario
  • On the mound, junior James Sill has picked off where he left off a season ago, recording a team-leading 20 strikeouts through 16 innings pitched with just a 1.69 ERA. Gradaute student JC Kiss has tossed 16.1 innings and has picked up two wins and has a WHIP of 0.92. 

Queens:
  • Queens enters the week with a record of 2-5 and will face Adelphi in a mid-week battle before kicking off East Coast Conference play against Molloy on Friday. 
  • John Harkins leads the Knights with a .467 batting average, driving in seven runs on four hits including three multi-RBI performances. Harkins also tops the squad with three stolen bases.
  • Vincent Mallon leads the team in extra base hits, totaling four doubles and a home run with a .333 average. 
  • The pitching rotation is led by Robert Nunez, who has a 1-1 record through 10.2 innings, striking out six batters with a 5.91 earned run average. 
  • Harkins and senior Nick Piazza were both recognized by the ECC as Rookie and Player of the Week, respectively, following the team's opening series in Myrtle Beach, S.C. 
Staten Island:
  • CSI enters the week with a 3-5 record and will kick off league play with a doubleheader at St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday afternoon.
  • The Dolphins have split every doubleheader they've played in thus far in 2026: Southern Connecticut (W, 9-5; L, 12-6), Holy Family (W, 3-2; L, 5-1), and Caldwell (L, 8-7; W, 6-2).
  • Michael Flashner leads the team in average at .385, driving in six runs on 10 hits, including two for extra bases. Jason Romance has also plated six runs, doing so on eight hits that include three doubles and a home run. Jamel Vera's 11 hits pace the Dolphins, adding a team-best five stolen bases. 
  • On the mound, Aiden Kielty (5.73 ERA) and Alex Martinez (7.94 ERA) have taken the lion's share of the innings, combining for 19 strikeouts through 22.1 innings of work. Nicholas Chiaia has reached 10 strikeouts through 8.2 innings while Michael Furst's 3.38 ERA leads the team. 
Softball (1-3)

Molloy:
  • This will be the softball team's first action since the opening weekend, where they went 1-3 in North Carolina. 
  • Freshman Ava Zicchinelli was awarded the ECC Pitcher and Rookie of the Week for her performance on the trip, posting a 3.73 ERA with nine strikeouts through 15 innings of work. The rookie recorded her first career win in a complete extra inning affair, totaling nine strikeouts and held her opponent without a hit in the final two innings.
  • Senior Emily McGurk had a hot start, hitting .600 at the dish with four RBI on six hits, including a double and a home run to go with four stolen bases. Junior Stevie Dabbadie's five RBI leads the Lions, totaling five hits that featured two doubles and a homer. 
RV East Stroudsburg:
  • The Warriors have received votes in each of the first five national polls of the 2026 campaign, peaking at a #15 rating to start the season and enter the week with a 7-5 record.
  • ESU enters the contest on a four-game winning streak, sweeping both St. Thomas Aquinas and Caldwell in doubleheaders. 
  • They are led by a .357 average from Katie Master, driving in seven runs on 10 hits that include five doubles and two home runs. Megan Chroniger's eight RBI leads the Warriors while Tulana Mingin has eight stolen bases. 
  • Sarah Davenport has commanded presence in the circle, boasting a 0.85 ERA through 41 innings of work. The pitcher has held batters to a .179 average against, totaling a blistering 53 strikeouts. 
Women's Lacrosse (1-3)
Wednesday, March 11 at Holy Family - 4:00 p.m. - Philadelphia, Pa. - Live video

Molloy:
  • The Lions will be looking to bounce back after losses to both Georgian Court and Southern New Hampshire last week. The team combined for 12 goals in the two contests, led by four from sophomore Ava Benasutti
  • Benasutti also leads Molloy's offensive efforts on the campaign, totaling nine points on six goals and three assists to go with eight draw controls. Senior Emma Ryan follows with six goals while freshman Sam Cossaro and sophomore Cameron Thompson each have seven points on four goals and three assists. 
  • Junior Brooke Grossjung leads with 11 ground balls and four caused turnovers. Freshman Avery Adamski has matched the four caused turnovers. 
  • Junior goalies Nicole Schaumloffel (17 saves) and Samantha Heuer (13 saves) have both totaled four appearances and 120 minutes in net. 
Holy Family:
  • This will be the Tigers' second game of the season and will look to respond following an 18-6 loss to Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
  • Gwen Varley led with three goals in the effort while Lexi Ryan had two assists and controlled eight of the team's 10 draws while causing three turnovers. 
  • The defense also saw three caused turnovers from Jocelyn McLaughlin while Riley Fudala led with four ground balls. 
  • Goalies Haydee Guzman and Nicole Wiser split time between the pipes, combining for 10 saves.

Women's Bowling (39-31)
Saturday, March 14 - Sunday March 15 - Northeast Roundup - New Castle, Del.
  • The Lions will be out for one final tune up before the 2025-26 East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Championship, taking place March 20-22. 
  • Last time out, Molloy went 3-2 and secured fourth-place at the Dr. Robert Cincotta Memorial. 
  • The Lions totaled over 1000 pins in each of the three match wins along the way. 
  • In last year's Northeast Roundup, the squad placed fifth through the two days, totaling six wins, 8,426 pins and an average of 187.2.
#12 Men's Lacrosse (3-2)
Saturday, March 14 vs. Roberts Wesleyan - 12:00 p.m. - Rockville Centre, N.Y. - Live stats - Live video

Molloy:
  • The Lions will look to start East Coast Conference play on the right foot and bounce back from a 19-6 loss to #3 Saint Anselm to end the week.
  • In the effort, senior Tommy Corcoron led with four points on three goals and an assist. Redshirt senior Noah Hammon and graduate student Zach Kroog each followed with three points. 
  • Earlier in the week, Molloy put up a season-high 18 goals from 11 different scorers in a rout over Bridgeport. 
  • On the season, Kroog has paced the team with 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists. Senior Jake Taylor's 11 assists leads Molloy. 
  • Senior Brandon Pazienza is averaging .560 at the face-off dot, accounting for 47 of the team's 65 wins and 23 ground balls. He is followed by 14 from both sophomore Liam Taylor and senior John Basile. Senior Shawn McCabe leads the caused turnover effort with 10. 
  • Basile has commanded his position in the net for the Lions, starting all five contests and making 61 saves with a 10.09 goals-against average. 
Roberts Wesleyan:
  • The Redhawks enter the contest with a 1-4 record and are looking for the team's first win since the season-opener. 
  • Most recently, Roberts Wesleyan fell to Southern New Hampshire, 10-4, at the USA Lacrosse Facility in Maryland. 
  • Chase Wilson (15 goals, 1 assist) and Colin Duncan (11 goals, 4 assists) have been the offensive weapons thus far for the Redhawks, accounting for 31 of the team's 63 total points. 
  • Face-off specialist Isaac Marrero is averaging a .600 win percentage at the dot, winning 54 face-offs and picking up 37 ground balls. He is followed by 26 from Brady Kustra and 23 from Liam Linden, who leads the team with 18 caused turnovers.
  • Both Landon Brimmer and Garrett Kayser have appeared in all four games for Roberts Wesleyan, combining for 54 saves and a 11.17 goals-against average.
