About the Lions:
  • The Lions enter the final full week of March 6-2 overall and 2-0 in East Coast Conference play.
  • Molloy went 2-0 last week, topping Georgian Court, 16-7, Wednesday, March 18 and Frostburg State, 11-7, Saturday, March 21.
  • In the victory over GCU, senior Tommy Corcoron led the offense with two goals and two assists, graduate student Timothy Marrow netted two goals and dished out one assist. On the defense, senior John Basile made six saves and sophomore Aiden Dinnigan caused two turnovers. The contest saw senior Brandon Pazienza become the programs all-time leading faceoff leader
  • On Saturday against Frostburg, redshirt senior Noah Hammon collected a game-high four goals and three assists to total seven points. In goal, Basile made seven saves while seniors Jaden McLeod and Shawn McCabe both caused two turnovers.
Chestnut Hill:
  • The Griffins enter the week 4-3 overall and 3-1 against CACC opponents.
  • Chestnut Hill went 1-1 last week, defeating Quincy, 11-6, Wednesday, March 18 before falling to Wilmington, 11-8, Saturday, March 21.
  • Jake Ballerini leads the offense with 24 points (11 goals and 13 assists) while the squad holds two others with 11 goals, Aidan Walsh and Preston Page. In net, Adam Daley has collected 80 saves and a 8.80 GAA.
  • The two programs met last season in Rockville Centre with the Lions earning a 13-6 triumph March 12, 2025.
  • Molloy is 7-9 all-time against Chestnut Hill.   
St. Thomas Aquinas:
  • The Spartans hold a 2-5 overall record alongside a 0-1 ECC record.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas went 0-1 last week, falling to D'Youville, 19-13, Saturday, March 21.
  • Cam Wallace tops all offensive players with 20 points on the back of 14 goals and six assists. In goal, Hayden Gaudette has totaled 100 saves.
  • The Lions and Spartans got together in Rockville Centre a season ago with the Lions earning a 15-4 victory April 16, 2025.
  • Molloy is 8-0 all-time against St. Thomas Aquinas.

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions come into the week 3-5.
  • Molloy went 1-1 last week, taking down Caldwell, 16-5, Wednesday, March 18 before slipping to Southern Connecticut, 12-6, Saturday, March 21.
  • In the victory, sophomore Cameron Thompson led the offense with a career-high four goals and an assist to total a career-high five points. Senior Emma Brazier (3 goals, 1 assist) and sophomore Ryleigh Zamora (2 goals, 2 assists) each recorded four points. In net, junior Samantha Heuer made two saves and junior Nichole Schaumloffel made one. 
#19 Mercy:
  • The Mavericks enter the week ranked 19th in the country, holding a 7-1 overall record and 1-0 in league play.
  • Mercy went 1-0 last week, earning an upset victory over 9th-ranked St. Leo, 17-16, Thursday, March 19.
  • The squad hoists three players with over 20 points: Ashlinn Kelly (27), Jessica Grzelaczyk (26), and Kayden Meyer (22).
  • Molloy and Mercy met twice last season with their most recent matchup in the ECC Final where the Lions would clinch the crown, 15-13, May 3, 2025.
  • Molloy is 9-9 all-time against Mercy. 
Daemen:
  • The Wildcats begin the week 6-3 overall and 1-0 in ECC play.
  • Daemen went 1-1 last week, falling to Southern New Hampshire, 16-15, in overtime Monday, March 16 before topping UDC, 25-3, Saturday, March 21.
  • The squad is led by ECC leading scorer Maria Salvo who has collected 33 points, scoring 25 goals and handing out eight assists.
  • When the two teams met last season, the Lions came away with a 15-1 victory April 12, 2025.
  • Molloy is 3-0 all-time against Daemen.

Scouting the Lions:
  • Molloy will begin its home portion of its schedule with a record of 5-11.
  • The Lions last appeared Thursday, March 19 picking up a pair of victories over Saint Michael's, 6-5, and Post, 11-6, in Melbourne, Fla. at the Space Coast Spring Games. 
Bridgeport:
  • The Purple Knights hoist a 13-9 record and are 1-1 in CACC play.
  • Post went 2-4 last week, picking up victories over Assumption (Mar. 19) and Holy Family (Mar. 21).
  • Throughout the lineup, Mya Jones leads with 20 hits while Paityn Thibodeaux tops with 14 RBI and four home runs. In the circle, Zarate Vise tops the rotation with a 2.70 ERA alongside a 2.70 ERA.
  • The two teams met last season in Bridgeport, splitting a doubleheader April 17, 2025.
  • Molloy is 46-27 all-time against Bridgeport. 
Staten Island:
  • The Dolphins come into the week 5-7 overall.
  • Staten Island went 2-4 last week, earning victories over Dominican (Mar. 20) and Felician (Mar. 22).
  • Aliveah Warner leads the lineup with 18 hits, 11 RBI and a .529 batting average. With four wins and 31 strikeouts Marena Grenier leads all pitchers to this point.
  • The two teams for their annual four matchups last season with the Lions earning three-of-four victories.
  • Molloy is 14-4 all-time against Staten Island.
Wilmington:
  • The Wildcats come into the final full week of March 4-16 overall.
  • Wilmington split a doubleheader with St. Thomas Aquinas last week Friday, March 20.
  • Addison Sabo tops all hitting with 13 hits while Maddie Vollmar leads in the power categories totaling four doubles, three home runs, and one triple. In the circle, Olivia Hitchens has collected two wins in four starts.
  • The Lions and Wildcats got together in Rockville Centre with the Lions falling in both games of a doubleheader March 20, 2025.
  • Molloy is 6-9 all-time against Wilmington.

Scouting the Cardinal and White:
  • Molloy heads into the week 11-7 overall and 6-2 in East Coast Conference play.
  • The Lions went 3-1 last week, splitting a doubleheader with D'Youville Friday, March 20 before sweeping a doubleheader with Mercy Saturday, March 21.
  • On the week, the offense was led by junior Mike Sweeney who hit .615 while driving in four runs. Throughout the rotation, graduate student JC Kiss earned Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing seven innings allowing two runs on two hits in the victory over Mercy.
Queens:
  • The Knights hold a 4-10 overall record and are 1-5 in league play.
  • Queens went 0-2 last week, falling to Staten Island and St. Thomas Aquinas. The program had game two of each doubleheader against the Dolphins and Spartans moved due to darkness and rain.
  • Throughout the lineup, Justin Chong leads all hitters with a .405 average and 17 hits in 42 at bats while Connor Waiting tops the squad with three home runs and nine RBI.
  • The two teams met two weeks ago for a doubleheader in Uniondale, splitting the twin-bill Friday, March 13.
  • Molloy is 79-39 all-time against Queens.

Introducing Molloy:
  • The Lions opened the Outdoor Track anf Field season last week at the Army Open.
  • On the men's side, freshman Djurabe Edmond etched his name into the history book, setting a program record in the shot put with a throw of 13.64 meters.
  • On the women's side, freshman Cameron Campo finished in the top-five in the 800-meter running a time of 2:31.36.
