For the second time in three weeks, senior
Kathleen Healy was named the East Coast Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference this afternoon. In addition, sophomore
Raymar Duncan and freshman
Leanne Richardson were named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Healy has established herself as a regular, claiming yet another program record. Healy competed at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University this past Friday, taking home the record in the 5000-meter course. Healy completed the 5000-meter course in 17:45.86, shaving 22 seconds off her previous time set just two weeks ago.
Duncan had an outstanding performance this past Saturday, competing at the John Thomas Terrier Classic. Duncan competed in both the 200-meter and the 400-meter, setting personal-best in both events. Duncan completed the 200-meter in a personal-record time of 22.80 before completing the 400-meter in 49.89. The sophomore's 400-meter performance topped the previous program record, putting Duncan at the top of the 400-meter record book.
Richardson had an outstanding outing this past Friday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic. Richardson established a pair of personal-bests, setting new marks in the long jump as well as the 200-meter. Richardson put forth a long jump of 5.10-meters, helping her secure a 12th-place finish as the sole Division II competitor in the event. Richardson completed the 200-meter in 26.46.
