The United States Intercollegaite Lacrosse Association released its Preseason Poll, ranking the top-20 teams ahead of the start of the 2026 season. After a historic 2025 season that included an East Coast Conference Championship and advancing to the final eight teams in the National Quarterfinal, the Molloy men's lacrosse team checked into the poll at #10.

Brian Green was selected as a Second Team midfielder after collecting All-ECC First Team, USILA All-North First Team, and USILA All-American Second Team nods a season ago. The midfielder led the Lions with 69 points and 43 goals, adding 26 assists, 17 ground balls, and four caused turnovers. Junior
Rocco Hogan was also named to the Preseason All-American Second Team at the short-stick defensive midfielder position. Hogan previously earned All-ECC Second Team, USILA All-North Third Team, and USILA All-American Honorable Mention nods a season ago. In 20 games, the then-sophomore totaled 59 ground balls and seven caused turnovers while adding four points on three goals and an assist. Rounding out Molloy's selections was sophomore
Aiden Dinnigan earning a spot on the Preseason All-American Third Team as a defender. Dinnigan was named the ECC's Rookie of the Year after a standout freshman campaign, also earning All-ECC First Team, USILA All-North Second Team, and USILA All-American Honorable Mention. Across the 21 games, he led the team with 41 caused turnovers and added 52 ground balls and an assist.
The men's lacrosse season will begin on February 14 at Southern New Hampshire University at 12:00 p.m.. The Lions, who were also selected first in the 2026 ECC Preseason Poll, kick off league play at home against Roberts Wesleyan University at 12:00 p.m. Greene and senior
Thomas Kofod were selected as the league's Preseason Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively. The ECC Championship will begin on April 29 with the 2026 ECC Men's Lacrosse Champion being crowned on May 2.
