Garden City, N.Y. – For the second time in its first four games, the Molloy men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw Tuesday evening against the Adelphi Panthers at Motamed Field. Following the result, the Lions and Panthers move to 1-1-2 on the campaign.
How it Happened
- A defensive battle ensued in the opening 45, as the two teams combined for 10 shots, but only one landed on target in the 19th minute that sophomore Callum Hunt denied.
- The Lions tallied its first shot on goal in the 55th minute after sophomore Benjamin Bern put a header on goal following a corner kick that was saved by Adelphi goalkeeper Andrea Farinella
- Eight minutes later, the Panthers looked to break the deadlock, but Hunt would stand strong in goal making a save.
- In the 79th minute, the home team had its best scoring opportunity of the contest when Lucas Nicolaou belted a shot that rang off the post.
- Junior Aidan Kolbe had a chance to get the cardinal and white on the board in the 85th minute, but his shot was saved by Farinella.
- Adelphi would generate two chances in the final 17 seconds with one shot on target with four seconds remaining, but Hunt made one last save to secure the scoreless draw.

- In goal, Hunt made three saves, collecting his third shutout of the season.
