Smithfield, R.I. – The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced its Academic Scholar Athletes and Teams for the 2024-25 academic year. The Molloy bowling team had four honorees earn Academic Scholar Athletes: junior
Bailey Joslin (3.6 – Nursing), sophomores
Margo Donnells (3.4 – Social Work) and
Samantha Felice (3.4 – Criminal Justice) and freshman
Ilana Kaplan (3.8 – Social Studies / Education). Additionally, with a team GPA of 3.24 the cardinal and white were named an All-Academic Scholar Team.
The NTCA All-Academic Team honors collegiate bowlers who have excelled in the classroom while competing at the highest levels of the sport. To be eligible, student-athletes must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.4 during the academic year.
To qualify for the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team award, programs must have maintained a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher during the 2024–25 academic year. This year, forty-nine teams earned this prestigious distinction, exemplifying a strong commitment to excellence both on the lanes and in the classroom.
