About the Lions:
  • The Lions kick off mid-December 1-9 overall and 1-2 in East Coast Conference play.
  • Molloy went 1-0 last week, topping Roberts Wesleyan, 90-75, Friday, December 12.
  • In the victory, sophomore Dylan Kopp led all scorers netting 19 points, junior Bryce Merchant collected 18 points on 62 percent shooting, and junior Jared Weakly pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds, with 10 on the defensive glass to go along with three steals and two blocks.
  • Head Coach Joe Conefry picked up his first career victory at the helm of the Lions.
Goldey-Beacom:
  • The Lightning enter the week 5-4 overall and 2-3 against CACC opponents.
  • Goldey-Beacom went 0-2 last week, falling to Wilmington, 98-76, Tuesday, December 9 and Felician, 78-64, Saturday, December 13.
  • Tre Powell leads the squad averaging 17.2 points and 5.1 assists per game. On the glass, Emarquis Jones tops the team averaging 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 48 percent from three-point range.
  • The two programs met last season for the first time since 2011, with the Lions coming away with a 87-79 victory December 18, 2024 in Rockville Centre.
  • Molloy is 2-4 all-time against Goldey-Beacom.
Southern Connecticut State:
  • The Owls begin the week 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the Northeast-10.
  • Southern Connecticut State returns to the court this week for the first time since Wednesday, December 3 when they defeated Franklin Pierce, 71-62.
  • Through five games, Justice Ellison leads the squad averaging 16 points per game in 33.2 minutes.
  • The Lions and Owls last met December 30, 2023 in New Haven with the home team earning a 101-72 victory.
  • Molloy is 0-4 all-time vs. Southern Connecticut. 
Women's Basketball (3-9, 1-2 ECC)

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions come into the week 3-9 overall and 1-2 against East Coast Conference foes.
  • Molloy went 1-0 last week, taking down Roberts Wesleyan, 77-58, Friday, December 12.
  • In the contest, senior Colleen McCullagh tied a career-high 30 points while securing a career-high 14 rebounds, sophomore Iris Hoffman netted a career-high 11 points while bringing in seven rebounds and swiping five steals.
Adelphi:
  • The Panthers hold a 7-1 overall record and are 2-0 in Northeast-10 play.
  • Adelphi went 2-0 last week, picking up victories over Staten Island, 54-37, Wednesday, December 10 and Pace, 55-47, Saturday, December 13.
  • Amongst qualified players, Victoria Morales leads the team averaging 13.9 points per game on 46 percent shooting from three-point range.
  • In last season's matchup, the Panthers topped the Lions, 67-50, in Garden City November 23, 2024.
  • Molloy is 17-41 all-time against Adelphi.
