Rochester, N.Y. - The volleyball team picked up its fourth-straight victory this afternoon with a 3-1 victory over the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan University. The win sets the Lions at 16-7 on the season and 9-1 in East Coast Conference play headed into the final week of the regular season while the loss sets RWU at 4-22 (4-6 ECC).

How it Happened
- Senior Teresa Moulder and junior Erin Stanley opened the contest with a tandem block for the Lions followed by a kill from freshman Haven Trechter to make it 2-0.Â
- Roberts Wesleyan would come within one point on three occasions, but kills from Trecher and senior Ilaria Micol Chiericati helped put the visitors in front, 7-3. The lead would be too much for the Redhawks to come back from.
- The home team led 6-4 to start the second set, but the Lions responded with a six-point rally that saw two kills from graduate student Julia Zalta and one from both Stanley and Chiericati to make it 10-6.Â
- The next two points would land in favor of RWU, but Molloy had three more runs of three or more points through the end of the set to maintain the lead.
- Roberts Wesleyan went right to work in the third set, jumping ahead to a 5-1 lead.Â
- Molloy slowly chipped away at the lead and would come within two, 15-13, after a run of four-straight points.Â
- The home team took the next five in a row, but 8 of the next 10 went in favor of the Lions to make it a one-point set at 22-21.Â
- Back-to-back kills from the Redhawks brought them to set point, but kills from Zalta and sophomore Isabella Rios kept Molloy in it until a kill from Camryn Karelus served as the final dagger to give RWU the set victory.
- Rios and senior Aria Miller both picked up service aces early in the fourth set to help Molloy to a 6-2 lead.Â
- Roberts Wesleyan would work the contest to a tie at 10 and then again at 13.
- The Lions responded with a run of six unanswered points that saw two kills from Trechter, a block and kill from Stanley, and a block from sophomore Franki Kelleher to make it 19-13.Â
- RWU would come within three, 22-19, but kills from Rios and Zalta helped seal the set and match victory for Molloy.
Top Performances
- Trechter and Zalta both led with 11 kills. Zalta added a team-leaded three assists to go with eight digs and 20 assists for a double-double. Trechter's 10 digs gave her a double-double to go with two blocks.
- Stanley's five blocks led the team to go with 10 kills.
- Junior Hayden Riddle led with 24 assists.Â
- Miller tallied 23 digs to pace the Lions and matched Zalta's three service aces.Â
- Rios tallied 11 digs to go with eight kills.Â
- Chiericati had nine kills and two blocks while Moulder had four blocks on the afternoon.
