Rockville Centre, N.Y. - Down 2-1 after three sets from Bob Houlihan Gymnasium, the women's volleyball team squeezed out a five-set thriller over the Setters of Pace University this evening. With the win, Molloy improves to 8-4 on the season while Pace falls to 4-3 with the loss.

How it Happened
- With the score tied at three, the cardinal and white fired off 10-straight points, including six aces from junior Aria Miller.Â
- Pace would come within three late, but the first set went in favor of the Lions.
- The score was knotted 14 times in the second set, but the Setters would score the final three points of the set to steal the victory.
- The visitors would jump ahead, 11-1, in the third set and held the Lions to just six kills before leading the match, 2-1.
- Molloy trailed for much of the fourth set. With the score in favor of the Setters, 21-20, the Lions saw kills from graduate student Kiarra Roth, juniors Teresa Moulder and Ilaria Micol Chiericati, and freshman Isabella Rios paired with a service ace from senior Alex Brown, stealing the set victory by a score of 25-21.
- The momentum followed the Lions into the fifth and deciding set. Leading 5-4, a seven-point run that saw three kills from junior Roberts Monticelli and an ace from Roth put the team ahead, 12-4.
- Pace would score once more, but kills from Micol Chiericati and Rios sealed the victory for Molloy.
- Roth led with 21 kills and added nine digs, two aces, and two blocks.
- Rios also finished in double figures, totaling 12 kills to go with 10 digs for a double-double while also adding two aces and two assists.
- Monticelli matched a season-high seven kills.
- Miller had a career-high eight aces from the service line while also leading the team with 14 digs and adding five assists.
- Senior Julia Zalta put up 40 assists and 10 digs for a double-double while adding two aces and three kills.Â
- Brown had three aces to go with six digs while senior Sara Hiebert put up two blocks.
