  • 11 minutes into the second half, freshman Eduardo de Rosa Sostisso generated two chances in a four-minute span. After his first shot was blocked, his rebound just went high of the crossbar.
  • A minute later, Maurice fired a curling shot off the right foot and the curled shot rang off the right post, keeping the contest at 1-0.
  • The Firebirds searched for the tying goal in the 61st minute, when a header was put on goal, but freshman goalkeeper Callum Hunt calmly made the save.
  • The cardinal and white tacked on its second goal in the 67th minute. With a two-on-one opportunity, Maurice crossed his pass into the box, and found senior Sean Salgueiro who beat the goalkeeper to open the lead, 2-0.
  • Desperate to get back into the game, UDC generated two chances in the 83rd and 87th but Hunt made consecutive saves to keep the clean sheet going.
