Sparkill, N.Y. - The men's basketball team was defeated, 86-53, this evening by No. 16 St. Thomas Aquinas College from Aquinas Hall. Molloy fell to 6-18 on the season and 4-9 in East Coast Conference play in the loss while STAC improved to 21-5 (12-2 ECC).

How it Happened

• The Lions would net the first two baskets of the game with a layup from junior Matt Lane and a three-pointer from junior Terence Crowley.
• Molloy's lead would increase to as many as 11 points, 17-6, with 12:25 left in the first half with Crowley adding five points, five points from graduate student Jalen Rosemond, and a layup from freshman Manu Alford.
• The game would shift in favor of the Spartans, who ended the half on a 36-14 run to lead 42-31 at the break.
• The streak continued into the second half with STAC scoring the first seven points and leading by 18, 49-31.
• Lane would hit two free throws to come within 16, but that was as close as the Lions would get before time expired.

Top Performances

• Rosemond led with a career-high 18 points from the bench, shooting 8-of-15 from the field, to go with a team-leading seven rebounds. 
• Crowley and junior Mick Browne each netted eight points.
• Lane tallied six points and put up two blocks. 
• Freshman Saba Beroshvili led with two assists.
• Lane and Crowley each recorded a steal.
