Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The volleyball team snapped a three-match losing streak this afternoon with a 3-1 victory over Saint Thomas Aquinas from Bob Houhlian Court. Molloy improves to 12-7 on the season and ends the first half of East Coast Conference play at an even 3-3 while STAC falls to 5-13 (0-6 ECC).

How it Happened
- The teams remained close throughout the opening points of the contest, but a five-point run that saw two kills from graduate student Kiarra Roth put the Lions ahead, 15-8.
- The Spartans would chip away at the lead and eventually tied the contest at 24 following a five-point run for the visitors.
- Back-to-back kills from Roth and junior Roberta Monticelli sealed the set victory for Molloy.
- The cardinal and white led 15-7 in the second set before five-straight points from STAC brought the Spartans within three.
- Two kills from both Roth and freshman Franki Kelleher, a kill from Monticelli, and an ace from freshman Isabella Rios helped Molloy surge ahead, 23-13 before the Lions took the second set.
- The home team was once again ahead in the third set by as much as 14-8, but the resilient Spartans responded with a 12-2 run to go ahead, 20-16.
- Molloy would come within two, 24-22, but would ultimately concede the set.
- The first three points of the fourth set went in favor of the Lions, who led from open to close to earn the victory.

- Roth led all players with 23 kills and added 11 digs for a double-double to go with an ace, an assist, and two blocks.
- Kelleher put up a career-best 13 kills while leading the team with a career-best five blocks.
- Rios had nine kills, 11 digs, and two aces.
- Senior Julia Zalta led with 44 assists and added seven digs, two aces, and two blocks.
- Junior Aria Miller led the Lions with four aces and 16 digs to go with two assists.
- Senior Alex Brown tallied 13 digs and one ace.
