  • The Lions managed just three kills in the second set.
  • Mirroring the opening set, Molloy led early in the third before Mercy rallied to a five-point lead, 15-10.
  • Seven-straight points pushed the cardinal and white ahead with Roth adding two more kills to go with one each from Monticelli and Moulder.
  • Tied at 25, another kill from Moulder gave the Lions the advantage, but three-straight points for the Mavericks gave the home team the set victory and put them ahead, 2-1 on the contest.
  • After the score was tied nine times to start the fourth set, a six-point run from Mercy propelled the home team to an 18-13 lead that it would maintain through the end of the set for the match victory.
