Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The men's basketball team fell to the Wildcats of Daemen University, 74-66, from the floor of Quealy Gymnasium this evening. Molloy sits at 1-8 on the season and 0-3 in East Coast Conference play while Daemen improves to 8-3 (2-0 ECC) with the win.
How it Happened
- After Molloy scored the first two points of the contest, the next eight points went to the Wildcats.
- Back-to-back treys from graduate student Bobby Connors and a fastbreak layup from freshman Rob Matos regained the lead for the Lions, 15-13.
- The score would be tied twice before back-to-back three pointers gave Daemen a 32-27 advantage.
- The cardinal and white would come within three at the half, 40-37, following a three-pointer from freshman Bryce Merchant.
- The score would be tied seven times through the first 10 minutes of the second half before a 10-2 run gave the visitors a 68-60 advantage with just under four minutes left on the clock.
- The Lions would come within four on back-to-back field goals from Matos and Connors, but Daemen ended the contest on a 6-2 run to maintain its lead for the victory.

- Matos led the Lions with 19 points while dishing out four assists.
- Merchant netted 11 points while Connors' 10 points rounded out the top scoring.Â
- Connors and graduate student Jalen Rosemond each pulled down nine rebounds.
- Redshirt sophomore Sey Dieng tallied four assists. Dieng and junior Mick Browne each nabbed two steals.
