About the Lions:
  • Molloy enters the week 1-9 overall and 0-4 in East Coast Conference play.
  • The Lions went 0-2 last week, falling to Daemen, 74-66, Friday, December 8 and D'Youville, 95-68, Sunday, December 10.
  • Freshman Rob Matos led all scorers against the Wildcats with a game-high 19 points and junior Mick Browne collected 12 points shooting six-of-seven from the field.
  • Against the Saints, Matos tallied 27 points, six rebounds, and shot 50 percent from the field and junior Terrance Crowley added 13 points in 22 minutes off the bench.
  • Matos currently ranks third in the ECC averaging 19.1 points per game.
Assumption:
  • The Greyhounds come into mid-December 4-5 overall and 3-3 in Northeast-10 competition.
  • Assumption went 0-2 last week, dropping contests to AIC, 78-65, Tuesday, December 5 and Post, 75-70, Sunday, December 10.
  • Kasey Draper tops the team averaging 16.1 points per game while playing 36.4 minutes a game and Daouda Dembele leads the squad on the glass averaging six rebounds per contest.
  • The Lions fell to the Greyhounds, 60-57, in last season's matchup November 28, 2022.
  • Molloy is 1-6 all time against Assumption.  
Southern New Hampshire:
  • The Penmen are 7-2 overall and 4-1 in NE10 play.
  • Southern New Hampshire went 2-0 last week, picking up victories over 25th-ranked Bentley, 64-57, Wednesday, December 6 and Bloomfield, 69-67, Saturday, December 9.
  • Four members of the Penmen are averaging over 10 points per game, Matt Becht (15.4), Alex Rivera (12.6), Kurtis Henderson (11.1), and Derrick Grant Jr. (10.7).
  • The Lions dropped its contest to the Penmen, 81-69, last season November 16, 2022.
  • Molloy is 0-3 all-time against Southern New Hampshire.
Women's Basketball (3-6, 1-3 ECC)

Regarding Molloy:
  • The Lions hold a 3-6 overall record and 1-3 in ECC play.
  • Molloy went 1-1 last week, falling to Daemen, 60-45, Friday, December 8, but rebounded to defeat D'Youville, 55-46, Sunday, December 10.
  • Against the Wildcats, graduate student Isabel Sanchez led the squad with 13 points and sophomore Colleen McCullagh collected 10 points and five rebounds. 
  • In the win over D'Youville, senior Trinity Hudson netted a game-high 21 points and secured eight rebounds and junior Samantha Muller tallied 11 points and five rebounds. 
Bentley:
  • The Falcons enter the contest 15th in the country holding a 7-1 overall record and 4-1 in Northeast-10 play.
  • Bentley went 1-0 last week, topping Southern New Hampshire, 59-52, Wednesday, December 6.
  • The team is paced by Ella Thompson and Maggie Whitmore who is averaging 13.3 and 11.5 points per game, respectively. 
  • The Lions fell to the Falcons last season, 62-46, December 29, 2022.
  • Molloy is 2-3 all-time against Bentley.
