Buffalo, N.Y. - With a 3-0 victory over D'Youville University this afternoon from College Center Gym, the volleyball team officially clinched its spot in the East Coast Conference Championship for the sixth-straight year. The Lions sit at an even 12-12 on the season and 7-3 in East Coast Conference play. D'Youville fell to 8-16 (3-7 ECC) in the lost.

How it Happened
- Kills from senior Kiarra Roth, junior Rebecca Meier, and sophomore Sara Hiebert helped the Lions to an early 6-3 lead.
- The Saints would knot the contest at six, but kills from graduate student Mariana Donado Yepes and junior Roberta Monticelli helped Molloy reclaim a 9-7 advantage.
- D'Youville would tie the game again, but an ace from Donado Yepes put the Lions back in front.
- Trailing 19-15, the home team scored five-straight points to take a 20-19 lead.
- The Lions would score six of the final eight points, including kills from Monticelli, Roth, and senior Chye Davis, who also tallied a block with Hiebert to clinch the set victory.
- Aces from Donado Yepes and Monticelli paired with kills from Davis and Monticelli powered the visitors to a 5-1 lead to start the second set.
