Hopkington, N.H. - The men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2023 NCAA East Regional Championship at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds, with the men's team placing ninth.
The Lions had an average 10k time of 33:37 and had a score of 280. Scoring for the team were freshman
Peter Bagattine (33:05.5), and juniors
Eric Palencia (33:15.4),
Matt Floyd (33:29.6),
Aiden Watson (34:05.6), and
Frank Ferrante (34:09.7).
While the women's team did not score, the cardinal and white saw personal best times in the 6k race from all runners: freshman
Kathleen Healy (23:47.5), junior
Megan Sohl (24:20.4), freshman
Olivia Russo (25:06.7), and sophomore
Alaysia Cobb-Rountree (26:20.7).
The Lions will return to action for the indoor track and field season, set to begin on December 2 at the St. John's University Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Complex on Staten Island.Â
