Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The volleyball team closed the home portion of the 2023 schedule this afternoon with a 3-0 victory over the Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas College. Molloy improved to 10-12 on the season and 6-3 in East Coast Conference play while STAC fell to 3-13 (1-9 ECC).
The program celebrated its four members of the senior class in a pre-game ceremony:

How it Happened
- The visitors led for the first quarter of the first set. Trailing 9-8, the Lions would take the next four points on two kills from senior Kiarra Roth, an ace from junior Roberta Monticelli, and a block from Davis to lead, 12-9.
- STAC would come within one two times in the remainder of the set, but Molloy held onto its advantage.
- The Spartans would once again take a lead to start the second set, leading by as much as 12-8.
- Three separate three-point runs from Molloy gave the Lions a 21-19 edge that would last through the remainder of the second set.
- The cardinal and white opened the third set on an 8-0 run with two kills and a block from Davis, three aces from Monticelli, a kill from Roth, and a block from junior Rebecca Meier.
- A six-point run from the Spartans brought the visitors within three, 10-7, but that would be as close as STAC would come in the effort.
Top Performances
- Moulder topped the Lions with 12 kills while adding five blocks.
- Roth also finished in double digits with 11 kills and added eight digs and three assists.
- Davis rounded out the top scorers with seven kills while putting up four blocks.
- Sophomore Aria Miller led with 12 digs and chipped in four assists.
- Monticelli tallied 10 digs and served up four aces to go with four kills and two blocks.
- Donado Yepes had 32 assists, five digs, and two blocks.
- Meier and junior Alex Brown each recorded six digs.

Molloy will be on the road for the remainder of 2023. The team will step out of league play tomorrow (Oct. 29) at Southern Connecticut State. The contest from New Haven, Conn. is slated for 12:00 p.m.
