Amherst, N.Y. - The volleyball fell to defending East Coast Conference Champions Daemen, 3-0, this afternoon in Lumsden Gymnasium. The loss sets Molloy at 7-7 (1-1 ECC) on the season while Daemen improves to 9-3 (3-0 ECC).

- Two kills from freshman Kaitlin Jordan paired with an ace from senior Kathleen Doherty gave Molloy an early 3-1 lead.
- The Wildcats responded with five-straight points to lead, 6-3.
- Molloy would tie the score on four occasions before taking an 18-16 lead.
- Two kills and an ace for the Wildcats gave the home team a one-point, 19-18, lead.
- The Lions would pull in front, 21-19, before the Daemen tied the contest, 21-21.
- Kills from Doherty and junior Colleen Moulder pulled Molloy ahead, 23-21, but once again the Wildcats responded to tie the score at 23.Â
- An attack error gave the Lions a one-point advantage before the final three points of the set went in favor of Daemen to give the Wildcats the 26-24 set victory.
- Daemen held Molloy to nine points and a negative hitting percentage in the second set.
- The Lions started the third set in front, 3-0, but the Wildcats took 10 of the next 11 points to take a 10-4 lead.Â
- A five-point deficit, 10-5, would be as close as Molloy would come before Daemen sealed the set victory to remain undefeated in league play.
