Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The volleyball team topped the Saints of D'Youville University, 3-0, this afternoon from Quealy Gymnasium. The victory sets Molloy at 12-8 on the season and 4-2 in East Coast Conference play while D'Youville falls to 4-20 (0-7 ECC) with the loss. In the effort, the Lions nearly doubled the offensive output of the Saints, tallying 51 kills to D'Youville's 26. Molloy also held an advantage in aces (9-2), assists (47-25) and digs (43-34).

How it Happened
- The Saints led in the first third of the opening set, until two kills from freshman Kaitlin Jordan helped Molloy to an 8-6 lead.
- D'Youville would come within one on four occasions before a six-point streak by the Lions that featured two kills from Jordan, a kill from sophomore Alex Brown, and an ace from freshman Aria Miller, put them in front, 18-11.
- Jordan would tally two more kills down the stretch while junior Kiarra Roth also added two before the Lions took the first set, 25-18.
- After conceding the first point of the second set, the home team put up five consecutive kills as part of a nine-point streak to lead 9-1. Roth and Brown both tallied three kills while Miller added another two aces.
- Molloy maintained its advantage on the way to a 25-18 set victory.
- The third set saw the score tied four times in the opening 12 points before kills from Jordan, Brown, and juniors Kathleen Doherty and Colleen Moulder helped the Lions to a 12-8 advantage.
