Amherst, N.Y. - The men's basketball team fell to the Wildcats of Daemen College, 93-59, Friday evening inside Lumsden Gymnasium. The Lions drop to 3-11 (2-3 ECC), while Daemen improves to 9-6 (6-0 ECC).
 
How It Happened

• Molloy took an early 5-4 lead following a field goal from freshman Billy Reyes and a three-point basket from junior Pierce Boczar just under three minutes into the contest.
• A second basket from Boczar from behind the arc brought the Lions within two, 14-12, with 13:28 left in the opening stanza.
• With 9:08 on the scoreboard, freshman Sey Dieng hit a jumper to knot the game at 20.
• Daemen would go on to close the first half on a 28-7 scoring run, shooting 59 percent from the field, 4-of-6 from behind the three-point line, taking an 48-27, lead into the locker room.
• Reyes opened the second half with a field goal, cutting the deficit to 19, 49-28, under a minute into the half, but that was the closest Molloy would come as the Wildcats shot 56 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes of play en route to the victory.

• Boczar paced the Lions with 12 points, shooting 4-of-8 from three-point range.
• Dieng netted 11 points while dishing out two assists in 24 minutes off the bench.
• Junior William Muller tallied 10 points and secured 4 rebounds.
• Junior Frankie Phelan collected nine points adding three assists and a steal.
