Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy men's soccer team topped the D'Youville Saints, 1-0, Wednesday afternoon at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions improved to 4-3-1 overall and 3-0 in ECC play, while the Saints fell to 4-4-2 overall and 0-3 in league play.

How it Happened

• The Lions outshot the Saints 14-2 in the first half.
• In the 18^th minute, sophomore Danny Muir had a header denied.
• Graduate student Jesse Schleeper had a chance denied in the 40^th minute.
• Junior Dennis Mejia made saves in the 25^th and 43^rd minutes.
• The match was scoreless at the half.
• Graduate student Peter Meyer had a shot saved in the 54^th minute.
• After Schleeper was fouled in the box in the 72^nd minute, Meyer converted the penalty kick to put the Lions ahead 1-0.
• The maroon and white kept the away team off the scoreboard in the final 18 minutes of the match.

Top Performances

• Meyer, who fired a match-high eight shots, scored his fourth goal of the season. He leads the team in goals, assists (2), and points (10).
• Schleeper recorded five shots.
• Mejia made two saves for his first shutout of the season.
