Amherst, N.Y. - The Molloy men's soccer team defeated the Daemen Wildcats, 1-0, Saturday at Karrer Field. The Lions improved to 5-3-1 overall and 4-0 in ECC play, while the Wildcats fell to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in league play.
How it Happened
- Freshman Gio Fabiano generated the Lions' first shot on goal in the 19th minute. His try was denied by Daemen goalkeeper Marcos Escobar.
- In the 43rd minute, senior Kenneth Garcia had a try stopped by Escobar.
- Graduate student Nick Conklu made five saves in the first half.
- Daemen outshot Molloy 10-5 in the first stanza, and the match was scoreless after 45 minutes of play.
- In the 68th minute, graduate student Jesse Schleeper found the back of the net on a pass from freshman Elia Krieger.
- The maroon and white looked to extend its advantage in the 72nd and 75th minutes, but sophomore Danny Muir and sophomore Andrew Davila had their tries stopped.
- Conklu stopped a chance from Alexander Khademi in the 90th minute.

- Schleeper tallied his first goal with the Lions.
