Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The Molloy men's soccer team fell to The College of Saint Rose Golden Knights, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions moved to 1-2-1 on the season, while the Golden Knights improved to 1-1.
 
How It Happened

• Molloy had the edge in corner kicks, 3-1, in the opening 45 minutes.
• Saint Rose opened up the scoring with 56 seconds left in the first half, freshman Victor Boje Henriksen headed in a free kick.
• Graduate student Peter Meyer had one shot blocked and another shot go wide in the opening 10 minutes of the second half.
• In the 64th minute, freshman Gio Fabiano attempted a spectacular overhead kick in the box, but sent it over the bar.
• 10 minutes later, freshman Chris Camacho tried an acrobatic shot of his own, but sent his effort high.
• Henriksen scored again in the 78th minute, this time heading in a corner kick.

• Meyer led the team with three shots.
• Graduate student Nick Conklu made seven saves, including five in the second half.

• The Lions travel to Garden City to take on the Adelphi Panthers Tuesday, September 14. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
