Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The men's basketball team fell to the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University, 91-68, Wednesday evening in a non-conference matchup at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions drop to 1-7 on the season with the loss, while East Stroudsburg improve to 3-3.
How It Happened
- Junior Colin Brady scored seven of the Lions first nine points bringing the Lions within four, 13-9, with 9:37 remaining in the first half.
- An 8-0 scoring run from the away team was snapped when freshman Billy Reyes hit a mid-range jump-shot, the Lions trailed 20-11 with 5:36 left in the opening stanza.
- A pair of free-throws from freshman Kenny Lazo brought the Lions within eight, 26-18, with 3:05 remaining.
- ESU outscored the Lions 12-6 in the final three minutes, four of the home teams six points coming from junior Frankie Phelan. Molloy trailed 38-24 heading into the locker room.
- The maroon and white began the second half hitting three consecutive field goals coming from redshirt sophomore Kendell Ogilvie, Brady, and freshman Darren Fergus, trimming the deficit to 11, 41-30, but that was the closest Molloy would come as the Warriors shot 54 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes of play en route to the victory.

- Fergus topped Molloy with 13 points, shooting 55 percent from the field, and added five rebounds.
- Junior William Muller netted 11 points, going 3-for-3 from long distance.
- Brady also scored in double figures, tallying 10 points, and bringing down a team-high seven rebounds.
- Reyes compiled a final line score of nine points, shooting 66 percent from the field, and three rebounds.
- Phelan led with four assists, three rebounds, while adding eight points
