Bloomfield, N.J. - The men's basketball team fell, 73-62, this afternoon at Bloomfield College. The Lions slipped to 2-9 with the loss while the Bears improved to 2-7.

How it Happened

• Freshman Darren Fergus hit a three-pointer to give the Lions a 3-2 lead in the opening minute of action.
• Junior Pierce Boczar net another trey three minutes later to knot the score, 6-6.
• The home team held Molloy to a .387 field goal percentage in the first half and took a 38-30 lead into the break.
• Bloomfield led by as much as 12, 46-34, five minutes into the second half, but the maroon and white scored the next three baskets to cut the deficit to five points, 46-41, with 12 minutes to play.
• While Molloy would keep the contest within double digits for most of the contest, the five points would be as close as the team would come to retaking the lead before falling 73-62.

Top Performances

• Fergus led with 15 points, going 3-of-6 from long distance. The guard added a team-leading six assists and three steals while pulling down seven boards.
• Freshman Sey Dieng went a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range for 14 points while topping the squad with eight rebounds. 
• Freshman Kenny Lazo and redshirt sophomore Kendell Ogilvie each added eight points with Lazo dishing out four assists.
