Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The Molloy men's soccer team suffered its first loss in East Coast Conference play as it fell to the Queens College Knights, 1-0, Saturday evening at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions moved to 6-4-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play, while the Knights improved to 6-4 overall and 2-3 in league play.

- The Knights took the lead in the 30th minute through Nicholas Tagios.
- Junior Jesse Schleeper nearly produced an instant response three minutes later, but he dragged his shot just wide of the far bottom corner from a tight angle.
- The Knights were up 1-0 heading into the break.
- Molloy outshot Queens 9-4 in the second half.
- Graduate student Peter Meyer came close to scoring the equalizer in the 50th minute after getting behind the back line, but he put his effort wide.
- The Lions forced Queens goalkeeper Dario Cruz to make three saves in the final 11 minutes.
- One of those efforts nearly found the top corner, but sophomore Danny Muir was denied from long range in the 85th minute.
