Washington, D.C – The Molloy men's soccer team and the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds played to a 2-2 draw Saturday afternoon at Germantown Stadium. The Lions moved to 8-5-2 overall and 4-2-1 in ECC play, while UDC moved to 7-4-3 overall and 5-0-3 in conference play.
How it Happened
- Sophomore Andy Balanco fired the Lions' lone shot of the first half wide in the 12th minute.
- UDC outshot Molloy 4-1 in the opening stanza, but the match was scoreless at the break.
- The Firebirds took a 1-0 advantage on a goal from Michel Egbame in the 64th minute.
- In the 69th minute, graduate student Peter Meyer knotted the score with a goal.
- UDC made it 2-1 in the 76th minute on a goal from Ivan Meza-Baez.
- Molloy found the answer in the 90th minute. Graduate student Genarro Vilardi found the back of the net to even the score, 2-2.
- In the second extra session, senior Kenneth Garcia had a chance denied in the 102nd minute, and Meyer had a shot stopped in the 110th minute.

- Meyer netted his fifth goal of the season, which is tied for the team lead with graduate student Jesse Schleeper.
