Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The men's basketball team fell to the Knights of Queens College, 87-75 this evening from Quealy Gymnasium. Molloy sits at 8-14 on the season and 5-7 in East Coast Conference play after the loss.

How it Happened

• Molloy took its first lead of the contest on a three-pointer from junior Steven Torre with just over nine minutes left in the first half.
• A triple from senior Nick Corbett and fastbreak layup from sophomore William Muller gave the Lions a five-point lead, 44-39, with 2:24 on the clock.
• The Knights netted the next five points, sending the teams into the locker room knotted at 44. 
• A Muller jumper gave the home team the first points of the second half, but Queens scored the next 13-straight points to go in front, 57-46.
• Molloy would come within six, 68-62, but were unable to close the gap before the final buzzer sounded.

Top Performances

• Corbett led the Lions with 23 points. 
• He was joined in double digits by Torre (16) and sophomore Pano Pavlidis (14).
• Torre topped the team with eight rebounds while Corbett and Torre each pulled down six.
• Pavlidis recorded two blocks while senior Josh Dennis dished out five assists and two steals.
