Flushing, N.Y. - The men's basketball team defeated the Knights of Queens College, 72-56, Thursday evening at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. The Lions improved to 17-8 overall and 13-3 in East Coast Conference play with the victory while the loss set the Knights at 7-19 (7-9 ECC)

- The Lions jumped out to a 9-5 advantage, led by five points from senior Curtis Jenkins.
- With the score 11-10, Molloy went on a 12-2 rally, led by five points from senior Nick Corbett, to increase its lead to 23-12.
- The Knights cut the maroon and white's advantage to 23-17 before Jenkins netted the final four points of the half to lead, 27-17, at the half.
- Molloy outscored Queens 15-6 to begin the second stanza, sparked by five points from senior Mike Torre and four points each from Corbett and Jenkins to extend its lead to 42-23.
- Redshirt sophomore Justin Caldwell made a layup to increase the Lions' lead to 26, 59-33, with 7:53 remaining.
- The Knights cut the visitors' lead to 69-54, but Molloy held on for the 72-56 victory.
