Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy men's basketball team fell to the Stonehill Skyhawks, 80-66, Wednesday evening at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions fell to 4-5, while the Skyhawks improved to 7-4.

How it Happened

• The Lions jumped out to an early 10-4 lead, sparked by four points from senior Nick Corbett.
• With Molloy ahead 17-10, Stonehill outscored the home team 22-4 to take a 32-21 advantage.
• Down 34-23, the maroon and white used a 7-0 rally, led by four points from senior Josh Dennis, to cut the road team's lead to 34-30.
• The Skyhawks led 38-32 at the half.
• Stonehill extended its lead to 51-37 with 13:52 remaining.
• The home team used a 9-2 run, led by five points by Corbett, to cut the lead to 53-46 with 11:23 left.
• Sophomore William Muller made a layup to make it 59-52, but that was the closest Molloy would get.

Top Performances

• Corbett netted a game-high 24 points, on 9-of-19 shooting.
• Junior Steven Torre tallied 12 points, on 5-of-9 shooting, and redshirt junior Justin Caldwell added 10 points.
