Flushing, N.Y. – The Molloy men's soccer team defeated the Queens College Knights, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at Knights Field. The Lions, who have won six in a row, finished the regular season 12-5-1 overall and 5-3 in ECC Play, while the Knights fell to 6-7-3 overall and 2-4-1 in conference play. The win ties the program record(12), which was set in 2008, and clinched a berth in the ECC Championship for the first time since 2016.
How it Happened
- Senior Anthony Cestaro, who was assisted by senior Carlos Bonilla, scored in the 12th minute to make it 1-0.
- Bonilla found the back of the net in the 52nd minute to increase the Lions' advantage to 2-0.
- Sophomore Dennis Mejia made four saves in the second frame to keep Molloy ahead.
