Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy men's soccer team fell to the Mercy Mavericks, 1-0, in the ECC semifinals Wednesday afternoon at Mercy Field. The Lions moved to 12-6-1.  The maroon and white tied the program record for wins, which was set in 2008.

How it Happened

• Senior Angelo Bordenca created the Lions first chance in the 32^nd minute, but his try was stopped.
• Mercy, which outshot Molloy 8-1 in the first stanza, scored on a Manuel Achondo penalty kick in the 39^th minute.
• In the 64^th minute, senior Carlos Bonilla sent a ball towards the goal, which was stopped.
• Senior Anthony Cestaro made a run, but his opportunity was saved in the 87^th minute.

Top Performances

• Bordenca, Bonilla, and Cestaro tallied one shot on goal.
• Sophomore Dennis Mejia made six saves.
