Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. - The volleyball team won its sixth consecutive contest in a 3-1 victory over Mercy College this evening from Victory Gym. The maroon and white improved to 21-4 on the season and remain undefeated in East Coast Conference play at 9-0 headed into the final league game of the regular season.

How it Happened
- After trailing, 14-10, in the first set, the Lions took at 19-15 lead on a seven-point run on the serving of senior Jessica Fischetti, including three kills from senior Hailey Wehr.
- Molloy attacked at a game-high .412 clip to take the first set.
- The teams exchanged five-point runs to start the second set, tying the score, 5-5. The Lions took a four-point lead, 11-7, but the Mavericks would quickly come within one, 11-10.
- Neither team would gain any substantial advantage until a four-point run from the visitors, including two kills from junior Kacey Affrunti, put Molloy in front, 17-14.
- Mercy was unable to overcome the deficit, despite coming within two, 21-19.
- The Mavericks took advantage of Molloy attacking at a game-low .189, leading from start to finish of the third set.
- The home team established an early 12-7 lead in the fourth set. The Lions played from behind until a four-point run knotted the score late, 24-24.
- Mercy was the first to reach 25 points, but Molloy would score the final three points of the contest to take the set and match victory.
Top Performances
- Affrunti topped 20 kills for the second-straight contest, totaling 21 with a .462 attack percentage.
- Wehr (13) and redshirt senior Carly Banks (14) joined her in double digits offensively. Banks also added three blocks.
- Senior Sophia recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 12 digs and 47 assists to go along with two aces and two blocks.
- Senior Jessica Fsichetti matched a career-high seven assists while tallying 20 digs.
- The pair was joined in double digits by sophomores Kathleen Doherty (19) and Nicole Wagner (15).
- Freshman Chye Davis topped the scoresheet with five blocks.
