How it Happened

• The score in the first set would be tied on 10 different occasions, including as late at 21-21.
• Back-to-back kills from junior Kacey Affrunti and redshirt senior Carly Banks gave Molloy a 23-21 advantage en route to a first set victory.
• A five-point streak in the second set gave the Skyhawks a 12-9 lead. The Lions responded with a six-point run on the serving of freshman Byrnne Winkelman to go in front, 15-12.
• The score was tied, 17-17, and would go on to be tied eight more times down the stretch. Leading 27-26, senior Hailey Wehr recorded a kill to give the Lions the 2-0 match lead.
• Molloy took a 12-8 lead in the third set. The Skyhawks would rally to come within one, 14-13, but another four-point run from the Lions set the score 18-13 in favor of the visitors.
• The maroon and white ended the contest on a seven-point run, earning the 3-0 sweep.

Top Performances

• Affrunti led the Lions with 13 kills and added three blocks.
• Wehr reached double-digit kills for the second straight contest, recording 10.
• Senior Jessica Fischetti tallied 21 digs defensively, while junior Allie Lackner added 12.
• Senior Sophia Smith totaled 32 assists, seven digs, and two blocks.
• Freshman Chye Davis led the Lions with four blocks.
