Garden City, N.Y. - The volleyball team's seven-game winning streak was snapped this evening in a 3-0 loss to Flagler College on the campus of Adelphi University. The loss sets the Lions at 15-4 on the season to date while Flagler is now 11-6.

How it Happened

• The Saints took an 8-4 lead in the first set before the Lions responded to tie the contest, 12-12.
• Flagler regained the lead 20-16. Molloy would come within ine, 20-19, but was unable to overcome the deficit.
• The maroon and white went up 10-7 in the second set on kills from senior Hailey Wehr and junior Graciela Cruz. The Saints would regain the lead, 14-13, that they would not relinquish en route to a 25-20 set victory.
• After a back-and-forth start to the third set, Flagler took a 14-9 lead on a six-point run. The Saints took eight of the final nine points of the contest to take the set and the match.

Top Performances

• Redshirt senior Carly Banks led the Lions with 11 kills.
• Senior Jessica Fischetti tallied 15 digs and two assists while senior Sophia Smith led Molloy with 28 assists while adding nine digs.
• Junior Kacey Affrunti led the team with three blocks while adding eight kills.
