Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The men's basketball team righted the ship with a 65-52 victory over Queens College in Quealy Gymnasium. Molloy improved to 12-6 on the season and 8-1 in East Coast Conference play with the victory.
 
How it Happened

• The Knights led by five, 19-14, midway through the first half.
• The Lions responded with a 9-2 run to take a two-point lead, 23-21.
• The maroon and white ended the half ahead, 31-29.
• The second half opened with a 15-0 run from the home team, increasing the Molloy lead to 50-33 with 10:21 left to play.
• The Knights would come within nine, 56-47, with four minutes left on the clock but a jump shot from senior Mike Torre regained the double-digit advantage.
• The Lions maintained the lead through the final three minutes of play before sealing the 65-52 victory.

 
Top Performances

• Torre led the maroon and white with a double-double, totaling 16 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. The senior also added two steals and two blocks.
• He was joined in double-digits by senior Curtis Jenkins (15) and junior Nick Corbett (12).
• Redshirt sophomore Justin Caldwell had a career-high four blocks.
