Bridgeport, Conn. – The volleyball team fell, 3-0, to the University of Bridgeport earlier tonight at Hubbell Gymnasium. Molloy now stands at 6-4 overall and 1-1 in East Coast Conference play, including being 0-2 on the road, while the Purple Knights sit at 8-4 overall and 2-0 in league competition.

How it Happened
- The Lions jumped in front, 5-1, to start the contest. Bridgeport, however, continued to battle back, coming within three, 16-13, before eventually knotting the set at 17.
- The teams would find themselves tied three more times at the end of the first set. UB pulled in front, 22-20, after an attack error from redshirt junior Carly Banks. The Purple Knights would not relinquish the lead, eventually taking the set, 25-23.
- The maroon and white fell victim to a seven-point run from the home team, setting the score at 20-12. The set ended on a service ace from Amanda Keller.
- Both teams attacked at a negative percentage in the final set, but Molloy gave up a six-point run to fall behind, 12-9, before later falling victim to a seven-point run to fall behind, 19-13. UB took the final set 25-17 to seal the match.
