North Andover, Mass. – The Molloy men's soccer team fell to the No. 22 Merrimack Warriors, 4-0, at Martone-Mejail Field in the Merrimack Tournament Sunday afternoon. The Lions moved to 0-2.

How it Happened

• Senior Lars Sund put the Warriors ahead 1-0 in the 11^th minute.
• Merrimack increased its lead to 2-0 on a goal from freshman Henry Osei in the 30^th minute.
• Freshman Tola Showunmi netted a pair of goals for the home team in the second half.

Top Performances

• Junior Anthony Cestaro led Molloy with two shots.
• Freshman Ryan Essigman took one shot.
• Senior goalkeeper Raul Bonilla made five saves.

Coach's Comments

• "It definitely stings to be 0-2, but we have to get over it quickly or we'll be 0-3 on Wednesday," head coach Danny Longo said. "I told the boys there's nothing we can do about it now. We just  have to come focused to training on Tuesday, and we'll do our best to win our home opener."

•  Molloy hosts New Haven Wednesday, September 5. Kickoff with the Chargers is slated for 7:00 p.m. at John A. Darcy Field.
