Men's Soccer Defeated by Daemen

Amherst, N.Y.  – The Molloy men's soccer team was defeated by the Daemen Wildcats, 2-1, Saturday afternoon at Karrer Field. The Lions moved to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in ECC play. The Wildcats improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in league play.

How it Happened
  • Sophomore Noah Keem put the home team ahead 1-0 in the sixth minute.
  • Junior Matt Miller scored to knot the match at one in the 45th minute.
  • Keem netted his second goal of the contest to put Daemen up 2-1 in the 80th minute.
Top Performances Coach's Comments
  • "I told the boys that we can't dwell on this game," head coach Danny Longo said. "We have seven conference games left, and we need to go 6-1. We are certainly capable of winning. We just have to finish our chances."
Looking Ahead
  • Molloy returns home to play Georgian Court Wednesday, September 19.  Kickoff with the Lions is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at John A. Darcy Field.
