Philadelphia, Pa. – The men's basketball team returned from the holiday break to an 86-81 loss at Jefferson, snapping the squad's seven game winning streak, to close out the 2018 calendar year.

How it Happened

• A layup from redshirt sophomore Justin Caldwell put the maroon and white in front, 14-8, in the opening five minutes of play.
• The visitors maintained the advantage, going up by as many as 11 points, 33-22, following a three-pointer by senior Curtis Jenkins.
• The Rams would come within four points at the half, 46-42.
• The home team opened the second half on a 9-0 run to take a 51-46 lead.
• Molloy tied the contest, 70-70, with six minutes left to play but were ultimately unable to take a lead.
• Jefferson scored 44 points in the second half, while the Lions shot just 35 percent from the field for 35 points in the final 20 minutes of action.

 
Top Performances

• Molloy was led by 27 points from Jenkins, who shot 10-of-23 from the field to go along with eight rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
• Junior Nick Corbett also reached double digits with 11 points as well as three assists.
• Senior Mike Torre and Caldwell each tallied 10 points with Caldwell matching a game-high eight boards.
