Rochester, N.Y. – The volleyball team rallied from behind to a 3-2 victory at Roberts Wesleyan College to earn its fourth straight win. Molloy improved to 17-6 on the season and 9-2 in East Coast Conference play with the victory.

How it Happened
- After taking an early 3-1 lead, the Lions fell behind on a five-point rally from the Redhawks. Roberts Wesleyan maintained its three-point advantage through much of the set.
- A kill from redshirt junior Carly Banks brought Molloy within two, 23-21, but Roberts would ultimately take the first set.
- The home team led in the second set, 14-13, before the maroon and white thundered ahead, 22-14, on the back of a nine-point rally, including four kills from Banks. A kill from junior Sophia Smith sealed the set in favor of the visitors.
- Molloy fell behind early in the third set, 8-2. Eventually, the team battled back within three, 19-16, before Roberts earned the set victory. The Lions attacked at a game-low .163, totaling only 12 kills in the set.
- The Redhawks led much of the beginning of the fourth set before the Lions took a lead, 12-10, on a kill from junior Devon Hagerstrom.
- Molloy was able to maintain a small advantage before pulling away following a four-point run to set the score at 23-17. Hagerstrom and junior Hailey Wehr tallied back-to-back kills to force a deciding set.
- The Redhawks scored the first point, but the maroon and white responded with the next four to take the three-point lead, 4-1. Roberts Wesleyan would come within three, 6-3, but Molloy held on to the early lead to take both the set and the match.
Top Performances
- Banks and sophomore Kacey Affrunti each totaled 18 kills in the contest. Affrunti added two aces and a career-high eight digs. Hagerstrom also reached double digits with 15 kills while adding a game-high four blocks.
- Junior Jessica Fischetti led the Lions in both digs (24) and aces (three) while also adding three assists.
- Smith tallied a double-double on 10 digs and matching a season-high 50 assists.
- Seniors Jeanne Reinis (16) and Meaghan Carr (10) each reached double-digit digs in the effort.

Molloy will face Daemen College, who currently tops the Lions in the ECC standings, tomorrow (Oct. 27) at 1:00 p.m. from Lumsden Gymnasium.
