Old Westbury, N.Y. – The Molloy men's soccer team fell to the NYIT Bears, 4-1, Wednesday afternoon at President's Stadium. The Lions moved to 2-11 overall and 0-6 in ECC play. The Bears improved to 7-3-1 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play.

How it Happened

• The Bears opened the scoring in the 14^th minute on a goal from sophomore Xavi Senlik.
• Junior Paul Morales tied the score at one in the 30^th minute.
• NYIT took a 2-1 advantage on a tally from Senlik in the 62^nd minute. 
• Graduate student Bernd Schluter extended the home team's lead to 3-1 in the 73^rd minute.
• Senlik added an insurance marker for the Bears in the 85^th minute.  

Top Performances

• Juniors Agustin Vassallo and Anthony Cestaro and senior Angelo Bordenca led the team with two shots each.
• Redshirt senior Stephen Tappeto made three saves.

Looking Ahead

• The maroon and white returns home to play St. Thomas Aquinas Saturday, October 13. Kickoff with the Spartans is scheduled for noon at John A. Darcy Field.
