West Babylon, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2017) – Freshman Christian Cruz (Malverne, N.Y.) earned ECC Rookie of the Week honors. Junior Brian Michels (Patchogue, N.Y.) and sophomore Stephen Barbaro (Middle Village, N.Y.) were named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

Cruz was the second freshman across the finish line at the LIU Post Invitational. He finished in sixth place overall with a time of 25:00.5.

Michels placed second pacing the Lions to a first-place finish at the LIU Post Invite. The junior completed the 8k course in 23:30.7.

Barbaro ran a 24:22.6 to finish third at the LIU Post Invite.

The Lions return to action Saturday, Oct. 7, when they compete in the NJIT Highlander Challenge.
