Pleasantville, N.Y. (Sept. 22, 2017) – Molloy volleyball's 10-game winning streak came to an abrupt end on Friday night as the team fell to the Setters of Pace University by a score of 3-0 in non-conference action. The Lions sit at 12-2 on the season while the victory improves Pace to 3-8.

Meaghan Carr (Mineola, N.Y.) recorded Molloy's only ace.
On the match, the maroon and white recorded 47 kills as opposed to Pace's 46, but committed a costly 26 errors. The Setters also tallied eight aces from the service line.
Down 2-0, Molloy extended on a seven-point run on the serving of Carr to take a 19-13 lead in the third set, featuring five kills from Meyer. The Setters, however, refused to quit, and rallied back to tie the contest 25-25. The teams continued to battle, searching for a two-point advantage to put the set away. Ultimately, Pace knotted the score 30-30 before ending the contest on two service aces from Claudia Fontanet.
The maroon and white will return to Quealy Gymnasium on Monday (Sept. 25) to face Caldwell University at 6:00 p.m.
