ROCKVILLE, CENTRE, N.Y. - The Molloy women's basketball team looks to rebound from three consecutive losses Wednesday evening (Feb. 22). The Lions (18-8,10-6 ECC) fell to the Daemen College, 70-50, Saturday (Feb.18).
Graduate
student Kamala Thompson (Selden, N.Y.) recorded a double-double, with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore
Ihnacinse Grady (Amityville, N.Y.) netted 10 points in the losing effort. Thompson leads the team averaging 15.8 points per game. Senior
Aliyah McDonald (Hempstead, N.Y.) is second on the team averaging 14.2 points per contest.
The University of the District of Columbia enters the game 2-24 overall and 1-15 in East Coast Conference play. The Firebirds were defeated by Mercy, 55-54, Sunday (Feb. 19). Kaiya Coleman (Laurel, Md.) scored a team-high 17 points. Shantrel Oliver (Columbia, Md.) tallied 15 points, and Tyra Coombs (Mechanicsville, Md.) added 12 points in the loss.
The Lions defeated the Firebirds, 61-45, in their last meeting (Jan. 11). Thompson scored a game-high 21 points, and senior
Shantana Kanhoye (South Richmond Hill, N.Y.) recorded 11 points.

Charlie Marquardt (Rockaway Park, N.Y.) hit a three-pointer with four seconds remaining to lift the Lions to a 73-71 victory over the Daemen Wildcats Saturday (Feb. 22).

Nick Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) tallied 16 points.
The University of the District of Columbia defeated Mercy, 79-64, Sunday (Feb.19). Joseph Nickerson (Newark, N.J.) scored a team-high 18 points. Traevon Butler (Lakewood, N.J.) netted 16 points, and Reggie Sidbury (Landover, Md.) tallied 13 points in the win.
