Adam Carnwath (Fleet, England) tallied one goal and one assist, and junior
Daniel Massey (Warrington, England) netted a goal leading the Molloy men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans Wednesday afternoon. The Lions move to 5-9 overall and 3-4 in ECC play.
The maroon and white, which was outshot 4-3 in the first half, opened the scoring in the 43rd minute. Massey chipped a pass from Carnwath past the keeper to make it 1-0. The Lions added to their lead a minute later, Carnwath finished a passing sequence with junior
Andy Boyland (Dublin, Ireland) and freshman
Joey Gahan (Kings Park, NY).
The Spartans (5-7-1, 3-4 ECC) cut the Molloy lead in half, 2-1, on a goal from Stavros Strati in the 57th minute.

The Lions return to action Saturday, Oct. 21, when then they host Bridgeport on senior day. Kickoff against the Purple Knights is slated for 3:00 p.m.
