The men's and women's cross country teams opened up the season at the Adelphi Panthers XC Invite on Friday (Sept. 4), and three standout performances garnered spots on the East Coast Conference's Weekly Honor Roll, announced by the league this afternoon.

Senior Peter Bagattine led Molloy's men, running an 8k time of 28:28.5, good for 57th overall and seventh among Division II competitors. In his debut, freshman Kevin Fernandez finished just 12 places behind him at 29:25.0, ranking second among Division II rookies in the race. 

On the women's side, junior Carli Sheiffele ran a 6k time of 25:51.5 to finish in 51st overall and fourth among Division II runners.
